Derelict Building near Callanish – Bothies and Solitude Collection Jenny Mason-Gunning Intaglio Etching

This Bothy sat neatly just down from the stone circle Callanish Stones I could not help myself I had to go exploring and draw it.In this etching which is from a series of works that I made from this location, I wanted to make the viewer feel like they were in the building themselves. I also wanted to be able to look at the print and to be taken back myself to the very moment when I walked into it for the first time. This is a ”must see” in real life print.This is a 2mm thick steel etching printed onto Fabriano Rosso 320 gsm paper using handmade etching ink deep black with a touch of Turquoise. Printed with my No. 3 Etching printing press.
